| I used a dickey john controller for years. Just upgraded sprayers to one with a raven and am still adjusting to the simplicity. I made out fine but you have to enter the rate, the nozzle capacity, the nozzle capacity pressure, and the specific gravity if changing from water to fertilizer. Mine had a sticker with a list of the constants on the cab corner that I would go through and check each time I changed anything. Only problem I ever had was the radar gun went bad and I replaced it with an iSpeed gps receiver that worked well. You should have a blue? button on the joystick that you press when you start spraying that brings the pressure up to a preset level so you can spray before forward motion is registered, ie when starting from a corner. Use the right hand floor switch for on/off in headlands. It's just a dimmer switch from an old fashioned car. | |
