north central iowa | It was wet and late last year here and I planted in between the rows on the standing cornstalks. It was wet when I was planting and the rows of cornstalks helped hold me up in soft fields. I didn't roll the cornstalks and they didn't bother the combine. I took off the trash whippers because it was kind of sticky in places. They all grew. I don't think you even need those coulters on. I used a 3200 Kinze planter.
