I have real Kinze and they worked well in my 7000. They do need brushes regularly, but that's not a big expense. I have read on this forum that Deere brush meters that are at least a decade later than the first Kinze are a bit better than the Kinze, but I haven't found any real problems with the Kinze beyond brush wear. I haven't any experience with Shoup.
