ecmn | enlight is a popular pre emerge around here for conventional till or no till, it is a surface applied product, don't want to mix it in much more then the top 1/8" they say. it has good burn down, spike it with roundup and put it on before planting and you will have a clean field for most of the season. follow up later on with thunder master and it is a 2 pass system that will have perfect clean fields in tough conditions.
return on investment, we can have a random weed in soybeans early on and not see enough yield drop to justify the expense of doing the pre emerge, and on a year like this by the time we get into the field we are going to be planting not putting down herbicide. | |
