My first attempt at annual rye this year with alfalfa grass mix. Cant use RR alfalfa with the OG and timothy in there. Used to use "succotash", 1/3 each of oats, wheat, and barley. That made excellent silage for dairy but I feed fat cattle now and am hoping the annual rye can be baled dry, oat hay is tough to get dry enough to bale with our humidity.
