We apply pop up and then 26 gallon of row starter in 2x2. Our dirt that has good potential (170+ BPA ) we use the pop up. In our low production dirt 150 BPA on a great year we don't use pop up.
In our better dirt we've seen fantastic results. Except when theres a drought like 2012. Not even our starter did any good that year.
