Farmers expanded production from market signals, grain majors saw acres and production in western corn belt explode and built for the need TO HANDLE the grain with shiny new shuttle loaders and grain infrastructure. Railroads are the third leg of the stool. They just got hit with grain and oil at the same time. Railroads make money by hauling freight. That leg of the stool will be built.
