Yes that is exactly what it was but he and others keep altering their definition of peak corn to fit their egos. The original argument was exactly as you said. Well when it became obvious that wasn't going to work out they claimed that corn production would be limited by markets. Well duh! If you have lower prices acres are probably going to drop. They are now focusing on weather extremes to make their fantasies come true. The weather is what it is and always has been. Every year somebody somewhere has some really bad weather. It has always been that way. In spite of all that we keep raising big crops. Even in 2012 we managed to raise much much more than the Doomsdayers ever dreamt we would. Peak corn my foot.
