You currently have a 200 amp service which would be normal for most customers, maybe even above normal capacity. You want to increase the capacity of your service. Labor and materials to do so cost money. Why should your neighbors pay for your upgrade? If you do not pay it, they will have to. Is the utility company just supposed to donate it to you? Basic service is one thing. Increased capacity services are another matter.
