Well....I know someone who took a ride. 200 is not the number reported back...from the monitor anyway. But maybe this monitor was not calibrated correctly. Who knows. A brand new combine is bound to need some tweaking. I'm sure it was well over 200 before the storms in November flattened most of it. Less than 100 plants per acre were standing last week. It was all broke off. I'm trying to imagine the expense of getting this out as well. The hours on the machine, and the fuel. At least they get to farm it again, that's what the operator said. Said they'll try beans this year. Maybe the farm manager is happy with how it's being handled. Rent must be getting paid somehow. The tile problems will probably show up a year from now, for the next bunch to worry about. |
