NW IA
I don't know how "nice" it needs to be to qualify, but here in NW IA may be as good as it gets from what I've read here. it has been seasonally dry but we had 4 tenths a week ago, 2 more Sunday and 2 today. It is quite cold, 36 to 38 for lows, but if it warms up next week we should be planting the last of the corn on time and with decent moisture. I have half my corn in and that may be typical for the area but many have finished. We do need a serious recharge of the subsoil but that would work better after it warms up and planting is done….right before first cutting……that's how it always works, right?
