SE MN | Oh, it was more sarcasm than anything, but I do believe that narrower rows will be the future. Yield increases in the past have mostly come from the ability of the corn plant to tolerate higher populations. But, plants closer than 4.5" to one another will have antagonistic effects on each other. We will need to get narrower rows when we are planting 50K per acre someday. | |
