How low are you cutting your stalks with your corn head? The taller you leave the stalks, the less residue you will have to move with the strip till rig and planter. I do not strip till, but I rented a Krause Gladiator last fall to try some strips and saw a noticeable difference where we ran the corn head fairly high.
