I have no problem with the trash moving back over the strip. I have an old IH head on the combine (doesn't chop up the stalks to bad). I do run Yetter row cleaners, set to knock off the lumps on the strip and just break up the crust. I just love the way strip till works for me. I think a less aggressive head is what you need.
