SW Minnesota | Got my oats in a week ago, some of it I seeded either red or berseem clover with it so there is a cover crop to continue growing after oat harvest. I'd say around here (extreme SW Minnesota) there is an average of 30-40% of the corn planted. A few guys who are way over-equipped for their acreage are done, several others (including myself) have not started planting corn yet. I have all of the dry fertilizer and NH3 applied and will be ready to start working up fields to plant when this slooooowww moving system gets out of here. They keep predicting that we are supposed to get 1-2" of rain out of this whole system but as of right now only have about 1/3 of an inch and we could use a good soaker. | |
