Subject: Burndown mix for winterpea cover sprayed after planting beans

East Central Arkansas

After planting the corn into the green cover and the way the planter worked I am thinking I might do the same with some soybeans. I know roundup alone will kill the but it will be slow and probably take two applications. The two apps isn't really a problem but I think the roundup will be so slow the beans will be trying to come up through a green mat. I am planing on using Fierce as my preemerge. I had planned on using Sharpen and Roundup as the burndown mix but I got to reading labels and the Sharpen label says; Do not apply Sharpen with other products containing Group 14/ Group E herbicides as a tank mix or a sequential spring app within 30 days of planting because crop injury may result. I will be planting RR beans. I have winter peas and cereal rye that are the main things with some poeanna .
