SW KS, near Dodge City | No offense, but I don't think that the 5 gal/acre would even hit the ground out here. Blowing 40, gusting to 55... It's probably worse W and SW of here. When dirt starts to move here, there are only a few things that will stop it. Chiseling to bring up clods, listing it to bring up ridges, spreading manure to have those lumps stop it, or something else to rough the surface up and keep it from starting. But with these kinds of winds, if it starts moving, I don't think there's anyway to stop it. | |
