Looks great! The fall pass with the Aerway seems to me to be the key to a successful CoC strip tillage system in a high yield area. Kinks the stalk down in contact with the soil, but doesn't pull most rootballs out of the soil. Everything stays where it is left behind the combine, while the fall Aerway is incorporating some fertilizer if spread and also breaking up compaction 8" deep without creating a pan nor inverting the soil nor hairpinning much residue into the seed zone. I do run my Aerway at an angle to the corn rows to level things a bit. Thanks for the pictures. Jim at Dawn (should be an interesting Cards/Brewers series this week) |
