Subject: 36" vs 30" rows

Looking to upgrade to a newer and bigger planter.I'm currently on wide rows on corn. Our yields are as good or better than the neighboring farmers on 30" rows and our planting population is 27500 on the best ground,25500 on lighter ground.Last year had some 230 bu dry corn.Changing to a 30" row planter would mean changing corn heads ,side dress rig, sprayer spacing.Currently have a 4 row planter and would like to go to 8 row.8 row wides are much more reasonably priced than 8 row narrows.Any thoughts

would be appreciated
