If I understand, you would be putting in several 24 inch tile through this 6 acre field to carry the water through it, instead of over it?

So this isn't a small tile pattern job with 4 inch tile, this is big expensive tile to gain a small amount of land?

If I owned I would do it because I like good farm land. The ease of mind and gaining a couple acres will pay off big over a few decades. Mostly the ease of getting done planting....

I spent $12,000 on tile that really only helps 5 acres a couple years ago, in my hilly ground all tile jobs end up being on small acres. With land prices what they are that was a better investment than buying more land dollar for dollar.....

On rented land, I don't know the answer there. I'd like to think I will be a good landlord some day and would work with that project as a landowner, but depends on your situation.
