I am not that far from you and for the last 3 years I have put no till beans into corn stubble with zero yield loss. same yield without the cost of tillage. the tilled field right next to the no till had faster emergence and bigger plants but same yield.

I have yetter shark tooth.

I had some rows not cleaning very well last year, the row unit climbed ontop of the residue, cut the trench and placed the seed in the residue just like the soil and when walking the fields you could see that the beans germinated in the residue just like in the soil. by combine time you didn't notice much stand difference.
