Subject: RE: wheat freeze damage

ok
Well matt....the grass we have looks terrible. It's not growing much if any. Cattle are obviously a good price. So I am trying to let my grass have a chance to recover some by keeping the cows off of it. I am going to go in my wonderful wheat crop and plant some sort of summer cover crop. More than likely bmr haygrazer and let it get a couple 3 feet tall then spray it and kill it. Unless it's raining all summer then I'll get a crop of hay. ( That I desperately need.) Then kill it. Regardless . I am more worried about keeping my cows than anything. There is already bare dirt everywhere from lack of cover.

If you have any ideas as to what to plant that's cheap and might grow in this new desert region I am all ears.
