I know you are a no-tiller, Adam, so the question is can you afford the loss of mulch cover (from grazing) during a drought?  -- it's pretty easy to run out of mulch and have fields blowing, and the future crop that much more vulnerable to drought due to lack of mulch.  Plus all the fun stuff with the soil getting too hard to seed into, more crusting, etc.
