| What I learned at rescue class was that most victims die from drowning, that is they inhale grain and choke. My one take away from the class was if you ever get sucked in, pull your shirt, coat, anything over your face to keep the grain out of your mouth and nose. People have been rescued after being under for several hours because they did that. However when panic mode sets in and you have a few seconds to get your face covered, unfortunately the outcome isn't always good. | |
