King City, Mo
Do you need the Mg? If you don't need the mg I wouldn't apply any. I'm trying to get ride of the excess on my farm.

K-Mag® Granular supplies three vital plant nutrients — potassium, magnesium and sulfur (22% K20, 10.8% Mg and 22% S)

Locally KCl was $0.42 per actual # of k so $42 doesn't sound bad...I put alot more then 100# of actual K on then that and my cover crop is growing good and I don't see any negative effects from it so you'll be fine with 100# of actual K from KCl.

Sulfate of potash is your other choice but the only stuff I found was $700/tn fob....
