I asked the manager of Monsanto's Maui seed farm how long it takes before people get stir crazy being stuck on the island "rock fever" he said around 18 months and people either stay or can't wait to leave. Might want to try a couple years before you sell the farm, as the local bumper stickers say "spend your money then leave" Have to agree, great place to visit.
