NorthWest Indiana | We have a female llama in with our calves now. When we were calving and started seeing a lot of coyotes we bought a gelded llama. He let NOTHING get in the pasture. The three pastures we ran the cows and calves in with him, not even groundhog problems. No deer, no turkeys, dogs, strangers, he distrusted everything and was an excellent babysitter under the shade trees with the calves. He and a bull got into an arguement and head butted each other, the llama wasn't right after that and I had to put him down. Maintenance free, sheared him everyother year or so. | |
