Subject: Orchard Tree Removal - firewood

Oklahoma
Have an pecan orchard that needs to be thinned over the next few years. Depending on how fast we go it could be anywhere from 50-200 trees per year for 8-10 years with each tree estimated to make 2-5 ricks. Have a family friend that sells firewood on the side that has shown interest in selling the wood. Others in the area have just had a dozer come in, push it out, they drag it into the open then it sets and rots taking up space which I don't want. A few others have have hired custom crews which came in and did turn key jobs where they doze, cut, chip, remove the firewood but they range in price from the owner paying for their service (they get all the wood free) to the company paying me for the wood and I clean up.

So trying to figure out how to come up with options for discussion on pricing. I will mark the trees and dispose of brush and grind stumps, what would it be worth for my friend to come in and get the trees. Or am I just wasting time even considering and just pile and burn?

Thanks
