NC Indiana
My P comes from what I put on beans, manure, and I do run a pop up system for 6-24-6 with micros. How are your P and K levels? If you need some P, I'd spread it before I'd give up N in my starter band, but only if you can get that band 3" from your seed. B is for Boron, you likely need some even though this is a short term deal. I've run 4 gpa Thiosul on beach sand for 8 yrs, if I posted how much yield improvement that made, I'd be called a liar. Are you mixing 25-30% S with your N through the irrigator? I would agree that is where damage could occur should the wrong mix be used. If you plan to no-till it, drop the 100 urea and spread 150 AMS, the extra S with the N will pump up your biology and help break down your stalks.
