NW MN | Take this as a strong lesson to get your own estate in order so your kids don't have to have the same troubles. If your folks would have put names on each track it would have been settled or everybody's name on all with some clause to sell to family members first. Again all things to go over in your estate plan with a professional who can better advise you.
I have heard many estate experts use the phrase "fair is not always equal" let your wishes be known and have open conversations with heirs so it doesn't seem like anything is being hidden if you don't want your kids to fight after you pass. | |
