Virginia
great info guys, iv never planted any group IV's up until this year. How prone are they to popping out the hull? I know a lot depends on the weather. Last year we planted all asgrow 5732s and and cut from the beginning of november into december and never had a problem with the beans popping out. This year the acres are nearly doubling so want to space out the relative maturities so I can cut from beginning of october on. Already have close to 200 acres committed to the 4853 t series and don't want to plant a late IV bean on the river bottom and end up not having enough time to cut them before they start popping out the hull or it hit a wet spell and not be able to get on the river.
