Western WI
Self propelled Deere swathers started getting decent in the mid 80s. We have had a few different ones. 2420s are nice, but the 3430/3830 and all the way up to the new ones just keep getting better. 2280s and similar are ok, but the cabs are not nice. 2420s have cabs similar to the 6620/7720 deere combines and are nice and quiet and great visibility.

If you are not in a hurry look around for a 3430/3830.

Also are you wanting an auger header for cutting grasses and hay? Or a draper platform for small grains? Depepnding on how wide of a cut you are looking for I have a 12ft 3430 sitting in the shed with 146X hours. Auger header.
