| I repaired a RT tractor last fall with the same problem. I have been trying to remember what Deere calls the part though. I think they call it a flow control hydraulic valve. It basically tells the dosing pump what to do. It is located on the right side of your engine (as viewed sitting in the seat)(passenger side) on the bottom towards the front. It has a couple of sensors plugged into it and has a fuel line connected to it. I think it was held on with two bolts. I looked it up on John Deere's web page and the drawing is very poor but I think it is part number RE542996. There is a sensor on the valve that was bad on the one I fixed but the sensor isn't available separately so you get the whole valve. Have your dealer check my part number with your serial number just to make for sure I am right. After I installed a new valve on the tractor I worked on I used my laptop and performed a dosing pump bleed procedure. The procedure could take up to 45 minutes to do. The tractor I worked on had been in use and it took about 15 minutes. If your dealer doesn't have one in stock (I don't know why they would) they can take it off of a new tractor on the lot to get you going. | |
