Wyffels was developed in Illinois I believe. That's where I always used to see it grown. It was big in northwestern Illinois when I was in college up there. One of the guys I worked for in college planted a fair bit of it and it yielded well from what I recall,180-200 bushel corn,this was late 90's btw. Consider the normal rainfall and soil types there though. South Dakota is a lot different area to grow corn in!
