Martinsville, Ohio | Me, if that was my farm and I was making payments on it or owned it outright, I would pour the coal to it. On my soil tests, that would be 100 AMS, 100 urea, 100 MAP, 100 potash, maybe some pellet lime and micro's based on soil test and last tissue test. Some readers think I am crazy, that is OK. Most spreaders are built to spread 500 lbs in a nice spread, I just need to blend those nutrients correctly. If the wheat doesn't use it, my next crop will. I guess I have been in a fertility building mode all my life, especially the last ten years, not a fertility bleeding mode. Someone is going to like this place when I am gone. Ed Winkle |
