1974 was as close to sweet and perfect as one will ever come again . Commodity prices jumped , machinery and land was still behind the big inflation to follow . I bought a new LN600 Ford with 16' bed ,40" sides for less than 2000 bushels of wheat . Life was good . :>)
But that was here . Your area must have been different .
