Subject: RE: 0-0-61 vs 0-0-50

NE Iowa
0-0-50 is a source of potash and sulfate and most people are applying S to every crop anymore. 0-0-61 is a source of potash and chloride and not many people's fields need chloride. I would love to use 0-0-50 but don't know any retailers that handle it anywhere near me. If you need S and account for it's value compared to other S sources than 0-0-50 is worth about $50 per ton more then 0-0-61. If 0-0-50 is priced much more then $50 per ton over 0-0-61 then you'd probably be money ahead to us it and a separate source of S.
