Subject: RE: Tell me why I shouldn't buy a used McCormick

central - east central Minnesota -

5250JB - 4/16/2014 18:16 Was looking at a TTX 230 McCormick and am seeing them for less that CIH ,NH Massey or Deere in the same year and size units . They seem to have just about equal options . I am questioning the 6.7 engine size as opposed to a larger displacement. It would pull a 16/31 Mech Kinze planter and a 16 row sidedress for NH3. So tell me good or bad about these units , I have dealer 40 miles away so parts and service would be somewhat close by . Any thoughts welcome. JB

Because your neighbors will make fun of you running such an odd ball machine - with all the green and red that 'normal' farmers would run . . .... .  ( ~ '

There are a couple McCormick's run around here - no problem for them. Very reliable and good tractor and the best part, they can put more dollars away in their pockets, instead of in a green or red dealers pockets.
