Subject: Flats yield a little more?

N.W. Ohio
Ed, I read your posts a lot, and it is always plain to see that you know what you are talking about......most times! lol You really caught my attention when you said flats yield better. I had read many years ago that flats had an easier time emerging compared to rounds. I used to plant all flats, but over the years with planter changes and seed availability, we have ended up planting mostly rounds. Just wondered if that is your theory? Or have you seen plot data that show the yield advantage to flats? Maybe I need to re-think my choices in seed size another year...... Thanks!
