Subject: RE: soybeans lacking?

Michigan - Saginaw County
I have a 40 that will be soys for the second year (long wet story - every thing is out of rotation, sigh)
I did put down dry PK last fall based on expected yield.
Not expecting to use N (of course)
I will do a triple agent burn down pre plant and then see what I will need for a post.
At this point planning to put micros and sulfur down 2X2 .
Some studies show yield drag with in furrow chemicals on soys so I will avoid that..
Planning to do fungicide/insecticide at the appropriate time.
Don't know about extra Manganese. Thinking I will need to tissue test for that? Any suggestions guys?
Obviously I am spending more dollars for inputs as opposed to just going out and sticking the beans in the ground.
The studies shows that you improve your net cash flow by taking these steps.

I also have a 50 acre piece that I am going to split and do the more intensive program on half and a more traditional approach on the other half.
Both halves had the same PK spread last fall.
We will split harvest and see which method yields the highest NET cash flow.
