Mike, good question. We're seeing how well it works as a cover crop, since we drilled it time-wise like you would a cover last fall. However, it's in a very poor alfalfa stand so we may just let it keep growing. Then maybe harvest for seed and bale straw? Just trying to learn more and see how it goes, it's only a few acres so we're not too concerned if we fail miserably at some point.
