Subject: RE: 3116 Cat Injection problems

Between Omaha and Des Moines, 7 miles South of I80

A: Fuel travels from rear of engine towards front on engine; thus #6 gets fuel first, then 5, then 4, and so on.

B: I doubt it

C: You could just pull #1 injector, and push fuel thru system with a homemade hand primer pump plumbed into the system (old 3208 secondary fuel filter setup worked pretty good)

Now, It sounds like you either have a #1 cam follower/roller failure and you aren't getting enough "stroke" on the injector rocker arm OR one or more of the rear injectors are leaking combustion gases into the fuel system AND that allows so much air, in the fuel supply, to #1 injector, then #1 can't fire.

I would take a very close look at the amount of "lift" that you have on the pushrod end of #1 injector rocker arm = does it look to be the same as #2 (on really bad one, you can just watch the rocker arms, at idle, and see the difference).
