I guess I think it is weird that you would change a model number for such small adjustments. Example would be the older (1960's) 10 series deeres really were not much different from 20 series and the 40 series really was not much different from the 50 series. Just the same the 8x00 really in my mind could have run until the 8x20 series, then that series could have ran until the Rs.

Did not know the 8x10 ran less efficient, I thought deere just ran the engine from the 8400 in all 8x10 series tractors?
