Putting up new bin and we have 3 phase available. Quote for bin is $600 cheaper per bin for 1 phase cuz that's how they ordered them in and there was more discounts. Is it way cheaper to run 3 phase? Both would be 10 hsp fans.

It is not cheaper to run 3 phase in terms power consumed. Motors will be cheaper but magnetic starters and other related things cost more.

Our minimum meter charge is $70 per month versus $23 for single phase.

It is easier to reverse direction of motors, just switch any two wires.

If you want to go to bigger motors you can with 3 phase where I think it is hard to go above 10 hp in single phase.

Over all if three phase is available I would use it.
