NW Ohio | What everyone has said is pretty good. My only word of caution don't fight it too hard or demand too much. I personally got burned by this once with a cell phone tower, I wanted nothing to do with it, didn't want it on my property period, and they couldn't offer enough for me to let them build it. I fought it for two reasons, one I didn't want the eye sore out my back windows, and two I didn't like that they could drive through the crop field on an easement at any time to look and do work on it. I won the battle, it's not built on my land and my crop fields were never negatively impacted, BUT I LOST THE WAR. The dang thing got built right across the property line on the neighbors land. So guess what, I still have the eyesore, but never got a penny for it. So my message is, don't get too crazy in demands, nothing will make you madder than watching the neighbors get big $$$ when you could have had a share. | |
