Subject: RE: What to do about underground gas line may come through my farm

King City, Mo
When they put a power transfer line in grandpa set down with the guy at the kitchen table. They gave him a number. Grandpa pulled out his checkbook from his overalls and told them I'll give you that right now to go around. He got more money then others did but still got screwed by today's standards. If a windmill on your farm is worth $3000+ a year so is a double power line poles. The gas company has billions of dollars and you have what they want. They can pay for it.

When we dug in my ground source heating and cooling I had them put the black dirt on one side and the yellow clay on the other. They piled the clay back over the line. After it had settled I put the black dirt on. Now I need to haul more black in and try and fill where it has settled or wait till next year and do it. You can see where we dug from google earth in how the crops are different.
