Subject: RE: Signs of spring

Saskatchewan, big whitetail country!!!

For us this spring, here are some of the comments you would hear:

"Record cold temperatures will again resume next week."

"A winter storm warning has been issued for...."

"The coldest winter in 116 years fails to let up"

" Farmers nervous as spring will not sprung"

"Highs for the next week will not be above freezing."

"The thaw is three weeks later than normal in parts of the prairies."

This has been such a long, brutal, stupid winter. I have not seen a robin, or any other sign of spring, because there is no bare soil. Guys are running out of hay because of unbelievably cold weather, not just cold, but long lasting cold. I personally am concerned, because if the forecast holds as is current, we will not see any soil until the 20th of April, which is unheard of, and nearly a full month late, in an area with a scant 100 day frost free season. To get the soil warm enough to seed into, and to have a long enough season to grow grains, is going to now take a true miracle.

Mr. Suzuki, I thought you said something about warming and how dire it is, particularly in the north. I agree things look dire, but it honestly looks like an ice age, not the melting ice y'all promised

Anyone else having the winter that won't let up??? 15 degree Celcius BELOW normal temperatures since late November?

Waiting for realistic signs of spring, and jealous of y'all!!! blech!
