Phacelia and flax may get lost with the fast growing pearl millet and oats. I'm sure the turkey manure will make those covers grow big. From what i've heard from those who've tried this, it is difficult to get decent weed control. Rolled down cereal rye may work better. If you are planning to do some sort of high residue cultivation, than i'd favor the oats more in the mix as it'll be easier to go thu. What ever you do, don't try this on alot of acres. I'd be interested in hearing what others may suggest on this topic. | |
