Guess I would have been part of that statistic as would my wife had it not been for medicine which has had the greatest increase in human lifespan. Many years ago I would have died from Appendicitis but @ 23 I was saved. My wife would have died giving birth had it not been for a C-section. None of us would have live past 30. Look around your family and would bet most of them wouldn't be alive without modern medicine past 30 or 40. Count Pneumonia as a death, diabetes, etc... |
