Cent. wi. area also . Northwest of you... Colby , Unity , Spencer area. Heavy , poorly drained , clay soil. I have been using Italian rye grass- tall fescue and some festolium as a grass mix and include some alfalfa on better drained fields. Have beenable to take 3 cuts many years using Nitrogen - potash top-dressing before 1st cut and after 2nd.
